The company was started back in 1993 when Rick Howard and Mike Carroll left World Industries after deciding that that wanted to start their own skateboard company. Girl are know for making some of the most creative videos in skateboarding under the direction of Spike Jonze and with one of the most innovative team of skateboarders in the game.
